About me

Who am I ?

Located in Sofia (Bulgaria) since few years now, I've been passionated about history since my youngest age ! From the WW1 battlefields of Alsace, passing by the WW2 Bunkers of South France to the abandonned bases of the Cold War here in Bulgaria, I've always spend my free time dedicated to history. Big amateur of flea market, I started collecting historical arthefacts since my 12 years old and now that I live in Sofia I decided to dedicated my entire free time to the Thematic of Peoples Republic of Bulgaria.

Why this website ?

After notified a lack of informations and kind of "Tabou" about the Peoples Republic of Bulgaria here in Bulgaria, I've decided in 2023 to create an instagram page dedicated to my collection : Instagram Page
Like this, peoples from all around the world can learn and discover more about this short historical period (1944-1990). Then, in 2024 and as a full time passionated, I've developped this website with the goal to centralise a mix of the short History of Peoples Republic of Bulgaria, with my collection, with some touristics places to visit and somes souvenirs items to buy linked all together. Like this all the peoples who have an interest with this thematic do not have to search for 10 or more differents websites to get what they are searching for. Of course, History might be controversial and doesn't always please everyone. By creating this website I've tried to be as neutral as possible and as I mentionned " This website has been designated and registered online for cultural and historical purposes. It is in no way the tool of any political ideology". In this way, this historical period can be preserved for the future generations.

For who is this website ?

This website is for those who have a deep interest about History especially with the historical period of the Cold War on the communism aligned country side. It also a very usefull place for the curious peoples who have vaguely heard about Bulgaria, who would like to visit it or buy a souvenir from the former Peoples Republic of Bulgaria.
